The Minnesota Timberwolves unveiled a new visual identity Sunday, introducing updated logos, uniforms and court designs that draw from multiple chapters of the franchise's 36-year history.

The association and icon uniforms feature white, blue and green, the color scheme the team wore during its inaugural 1989-90 season. The statement uniform revives the pine tree-era black look, differing from last season's throwback alternate by replacing "Timberwolves" lettering with "Wolves" rendered in glowing blue and green outlines. The pine tree trim returns with a glowing blue edge inspired by Minnesota's 10,000-plus lakes.

"This franchise means something different to every generation of fans," said Timberwolves and Lynx CEO Matt Caldwell. "We wanted this new look to reflect the pieces of Timberwolves basketball fans have always connected with, while also feeling true to the team and culture surrounding this franchise today."

Franchise cornerstone Kevin Garnett took part in the reveal, appearing in each of the three uniform versions.

All three uniforms share two new details with a custom "Tree-M" monogram on the belt buckle and a five-tree lineup above every jock tag, the latter a subtle nod to the starting five. The numbers and chest mark draw their design from wolf fangs, while the trim echoes the classic three-stripe pattern from the team's original threads.

The updated logo retains the howling wolf but returns to blue and green tones similar to the original version used from 1990 to 1996. The team will also introduce two new court designs, designated as statement and core.

Minnesota was eliminated by the San Antonio Spurs in the second round of the 2026 playoffs, ending consecutive runs to the Western Conference Finals.
