Yousri Belgaroui added another vicious knockout to his résumé at Noche UFC, stopping Djorden Santos in the opening round to continue his flawless start inside the UFC.

The middleweight matchup took place Saturday at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona, with Belgaroui looking to make it three straight UFC wins. Santos stepped in on short notice after Kelvin Gastelum withdrew due to injury, but the Brazilian quickly found himself dealing with the Dutch kickboxer’s range and power on the Noche UFC prelims.

“The Boogeyman” used his size and reach to keep Santos at the end of his strikes, chopping at the lead leg and mixing in kicks to the body. Santos tried to counter with punches, but Belgaroui gradually increased his pressure and began landing the cleaner combinations.

Yousri Belgaroui Turns Up The Violence At Noche UFC

A well-timed head kick opened the door for Yousri Belgaroui, who followed with damaging body shots before finding Santos with a sharp jab that visibly hurt him. Sensing the finish, the Dutchman immediately swarmed, forcing Santos backward while unloading heavy punches.

Belgaroui then connected with two massive overhand rights in succession, sending Santos crashing to the canvas. Referee intervention followed immediately, bringing the fight to an end at 4:25 of Round 1.

The victory moved Belgaroui to 11-3 overall and 3-0 in the UFC, with every one of his UFC victories coming by knockout. He previously stopped Azamat Bekoev and Mansur Abdul-Malik, both by third-round stoppage, before producing his fastest UFC finish yet at Noche UFC.
