Daniel is an experienced football writer and editor, having worked in the football media industry for over a decade.
After voluntarily writing for Fresh Press for two years, helping to build and establish the Read brand, Daniel started a part-time job with Fresh Press that later turned into a full-time writing and editing role, writing for club-specific pages such as Read Norwich, Read Celtic, Read Liverpool, and Read Arsenal.
Daniel spent just shy of a year writing and editing for Liverpool-based website, Anfield Watch, which included conducting and/or transcribing interviews with Liverpool goalkeeping coach John Achterberg, former Wycombe striker Adebayo Akinfenwa, and journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Since the summer of 2021, Daniel has worked for Snack Media (now Valnet) and has been a contributor to Football FanCast, on a freelance and full-time basis, as a writer and editor.
Daniel is a Norwich City fan and season ticket holder. He has been heard on BBC Norfolk and helped DAZN with research for their commentary due to his knowledge of the club, along with being featured in several local papers across the country, including the Coventry Telegraph and the Liverpool Echo, for Norwich-related content.
Daniel's knowledge extends to Scottish football, having covered Celtic and Rangers for several years. He particularly enjoys producing player analysis and producing transfer content.
Glasgow Rangers supporters who were left frustrated by Scotland's exit from the World Cup have quickly been given reasons to be cheerful again in recent days.
The Light Blues have been quick out of the gates in the summer transfer window and have confirmed two new signings this week already, bringing in Ivor Pandur and Dan Neil.
Derek McInnes has signed a new number one goalkeeper, with Pandur trading places with Jack Butland, and added a new central midfielder to his ranks.
Neil has put pen to paper on a three-year contract at Ibrox after his contract at Premier League side Sunderland expired at the end of last month.
The Light Blues are in the market for further reinforcements, though, and have been linked with interest in bringing Mikey Moore back to the club for a second spell.
Why Mikey Moore would be a dream signing for Rangers
Kenny Miller recently suggested that the Gers could bring the England U20 international back to Ibrox for another loan spell, after he spent the 2025/26 campaign on loan from Tottenham Hotspur.
The 18-year-old starlet became an important player for Danny Rohl last season with his performances on the flank and in the number ten position, and enjoyed a strong first year of regular first-team football.
Moore ended the campaign by winning the division's Young Player of the Year award, becoming the first Rangers player to do so since Bayern Munich loanee Malik Tillman did in the 2022/23 season.

He scored seven goals and created seven 'big chances' for his teammates in 25 starts in the Scottish Premiership for the Light Blues, offering quality as both a scorer and a creator of goals.
Therefore, bringing the youngster back to Ibrox would be a dream signing for McInnes because he is a proven Premiership star who still has plenty of room left to grow and develop with more experience on the pitch.
The Rangers star who could be sold if Mikey Moore returns
The return of Moore to Rangers in the summer transfer window could also see some outward movement for the club, as it may force one player to look elsewhere.
David Edgar, of the Heart & Hand Podcast, has revealed that Atalanta have genuine interest in a deal to sign Thelo Aasgaard from the Scottish giants this summer.
Rangers swooped to sign the Norway international, who has scored one goal at the World Cup so far, from Luton Town for a fee of £3.5m last year, and he may already be on his way out of Glasgow.

Aasgaard and Moore could play similar roles in McInnes' system because the Scottish boss often favoured a 4-4-2 or a 4-3-1-2 formation during his time at Hearts.
That would likely leave both players competing for a wide position in a 4-4-2 or as the number ten in a 4-3-1-2, which is why Moore's return could leave Aasgaard struggling for minutes next term.
Whilst the Norwegian talent did show glimpses of quality, with seven goals in the Premiership last term, the Spurs loanee outperformed his xG by more goals and created more 'big chances' and xA for his teammates in the same number of appearances.
Aasgaard was not as consistent as the 18-year-old at the top end of the pitch in the league and should be sold if the club are able to secure a deal to bring Moore back to Ibrox for a second loan.
Atalanta's interest in the former Luton star provides the Light Blues with a big opportunity to immediately cash in on the Liverpool-born attacking midfielder, potentially making a profit if they are willing to offer more than £3.5m for his services.
The signing of Moore would allow the club to sell him without worrying about a lack of quality left in his position, because the English youngster is already a proven Premiership star who would slot straight back into the squad.
That is why McInnes should be pushing the board to strike another deal with Spurs for the young forward, so that he can then green-light an exit for Aasgaard, whose time at Ibrox may be up.
