Former Clemson forward RJ Godfrey has committed to Arizona, addressing what had been the biggest need on coach Tommy Lloyd's roster. Godfrey announced the decision Sunday on Instagram, posting "Committed" alongside a photo of himself in an Arizona jersey.

Godfrey averaged 12.0 points and 5.3 rebounds last season in his return to Clemson following a one-year stint at Georgia. He spent his first two collegiate seasons at Clemson in a reserve role.

Godfrey will benefit from the NCAA's new "five-in-five" rule.

Arizona reached the Final Four for the first time in 30 years last season but lost several key contributors from that roster, including power forward Tobe Awaka. The 6-foot-8, 240-pound Godfrey is expected to fill that void, joining 7-footer Motiejus Krivas and forward Ivan Kharchenkov to form another formidable frontcourt for the Wildcats.
