Daniel is an experienced football writer and editor, having worked in the football media industry for over a decade.
After voluntarily writing for Fresh Press for two years, helping to build and establish the Read brand, Daniel started a part-time job with Fresh Press that later turned into a full-time writing and editing role, writing for club-specific pages such as Read Norwich, Read Celtic, Read Liverpool, and Read Arsenal.
Daniel spent just shy of a year writing and editing for Liverpool-based website, Anfield Watch, which included conducting and/or transcribing interviews with Liverpool goalkeeping coach John Achterberg, former Wycombe striker Adebayo Akinfenwa, and journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Since the summer of 2021, Daniel has worked for Snack Media (now Valnet) and has been a contributor to Football FanCast, on a freelance and full-time basis, as a writer and editor.
Daniel is a Norwich City fan and season ticket holder. He has been heard on BBC Norfolk and helped DAZN with research for their commentary due to his knowledge of the club, along with being featured in several local papers across the country, including the Coventry Telegraph and the Liverpool Echo, for Norwich-related content.
Daniel's knowledge extends to Scottish football, having covered Celtic and Rangers for several years. He particularly enjoys producing player analysis and producing transfer content.
Glasgow Rangers chairman Andrew Cavenagh has thrown his support behind head coach Danny Rohl and stated that he will lead the team into the 2026/27 campaign.
Speaking at the end of the season, Cavenagh said: As we look to next year, Danny is our coach. We believe that Danny gives us the best chance to win the league next year.
“We believe that there are two key elements that he needs to succeed and that would be a revamped squad, which is probably the most important, and a pre-season."
Time will tell whether that is the right or wrong decision, but Rangers have made their choice and they now have to back Rohl in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The board need to provide the German tactician with the funds that he needs to build a side that can go and win the Scottish Premiership title and compete for domestic and European cups next term.
What Rangers need to do to compete for the Premiership title
Rangers, firstly, need to add more steel to their defensive ranks because they conceded 43 goals in their 38 league games, the most of any of the top four sides in the division.

The Light Blues need to bring in players who offer more quality and consistently defensively, including a new goalkeeper after Jack Butland made seven errors that led to shots or goals for the opposition in the league.
Despite winning 5-2 away at Falkirk on the final day of the season on Saturday, thanks to a hat-trick from Youssef Chermiti, the Scottish giants also need to add more matchwinners to their squad.
Racking up goals against the lesser sides in the league is helpful, but Rangers also need to be more effective in front of goal against the top teams. They only scored one goal in their defeats to Hibernian, Hearts, and Celtic after the split.
That is why Rohl should be in the market to find more matchwinners, like former Gers star Hamza Igamane, and part of that should include keeping hold of one of his current stars.
Rangers must sign their biggest talent since Hamza Igamane
Igamane was, of course, a mercurial talent during his time at Ibrox, as he scored 16 goals in the 2024/25 campaign before signing for Lille for £10.4m last summer, which made him the club's biggest sale since 2022.
The Gers then signed Mikey Moore on loan from Tottenham Hotspur in the same window, and he has shown potential to develop into a superstar at Ibrox.
Football FanCast sources revealed earlier this year that Rangers have already opened talks with Spurs to secure a deal to bring the teenage forward back to Ibrox for a second spell, as the Premier League side are open to selling him if they avoid relegation.
It's a deal Rohl wants to conclude too. He said only a few days ago in quotes relayed by talkSPORT that "we [Rangers] will try everything" to re-sign him.
Moore caught the eye with his performances for the Gers in the Premiership season, outperforming his xG and delivering 14 goals and 'big chances' created in 25 starts.
Heart & Hand content creator David Edgar suggested that Spurs could demand up to £40m for the 18-year-old, though, which suggests that the Light Blues may have to explore a loan or a loan with an option-to-buy next summer, as their record signing remains Tore Andre Flo for £12m in 2000.
Rangers' most expensive signings of all time
The Gers now have new owners in the 49ers Enterprises.
The £40m-rated star looks like the club's biggest talent since Igamane both because of Tottenham's valuation of him and his performances for Rangers at such a young age, assisting three more goals than the Moroccan did in the league last term.
Moore also showed his ability to step up in big games for the Light Blues, despite his age and inexperience, with two goals in three games against Celtic in 2026 in all competitions.
The England U19 international is still developing and improving at his young age and could take another leap with more consistency in the final third if the Gers bring him back for a second spell, as he now has a full season of experience in the league under his belt.
That is why Rangers must push to secure a second deal for Moore, whether it is a loan or a permanent deal, because he looks like the club's biggest talent since Igamane and could be a key part of Rohl's push for a league title in the 2026/27 campaign.
Their answer to McInnes: Rangers could sack Rohl to hire "elite" manager
Rangers could hire their own version of Derek McInnes by hiring this title-winning manager to replace Danny Rohl.
