Robbie is the Assistant Editor at Football FanCast.
Having graduated from the University of Exeter in 2020, Robbie spent time working as an intern or in freelance positions across a variety of sites, including at 90min, producing news and feature content related to clubs in the Premier League, EFL, SPFL and in Europe.
Robbie subsequently spent over a year working as a news, features and opinion writer at Football Faithful, primarily focused on the Premier League and Manchester United, in particular.
After beginning life at Football FanCast as part of the company's academy set-up in 2022, Robbie has risen through the ranks to now taking on the role of Assistant Editor since October 2023, having also been part of the Exclusives team in the past.
Across the last few years, Robbie has covered Manchester United, Celtic and Rangers on a regular basis, alongside a raft of other clubs, boasting an in-depth knowledge of the Premier League, EFL and Scottish football in general.
Robbie is a Manchester United fan, but also has a particular fondness for both Celtic and Wycombe Wanderers, taking in a multitude of home and away games for the Chairboys over the last two decades.
Speaking on Glasgow Rangers' plans for the summer this week, Andrew Cavenagh provided an interesting insight into the club's fresh transfer policy.
The suggestion is that the Ibrox side will now prioritise Scottish as well as Premiership-proven options in the market, with that likely to be a key factor when it comes to deciding between targets:
“It is a bias towards Scottish players, but that doesn’t mean that’s the only criteria we look at to build a winning team. I would say we equally look at an SPFL bias.
“If we’re looking at two players who are roughly similar, and one has extensive SPFL experience against one that does not, we would take the SPFL-experienced player.”
As this season has shown again, those who have impressed elsewhere simply find it a different kettle of fish in Scotland. Just ask Oliver Antman and Andreas Skov Olsen.
The latest on Antman and Skov Olsen's futures at Rangers
On paper, it looked as if Rangers had snapped up two of Europe's most creative or productive players of recent years by bringing Antman and Skov Olsen into the fold.

In Antman's case, the Finland international had racked up 16 assists in his solitary season with Go Ahead Eagles in 2024/25, while Skov Olsen had registered 79 goals and assists in just 124 games during his time with Belgian side Club Brugge.
Frustratingly for the pair, however, such form has deserted them in Glasgow, with Antman scoring just once all season, registering just five assists in all competitions.
As for his Scandinavian colleague, the Dane has simply not lived up to the billing since arriving on loan from Wolfsburg in January, scoring and assisting just four goals in his 11 appearances, while failing to make it off the bench in five of the last six league games of the season.
Unsurprisingly, reports this week have suggested that the Gers won't be taking up their £8m buy option on the 26-year-old, with Skov Olsen doing little to suggest he warrants such a significant outlay.
A relatively swift exit also looks to be on cards for Antman, amid reports he is already up for sale after just a year at Ibrox, with those two potential departures ensuring a new right-winger or creative outlet is essential for Danny Rohl's side this summer.
Rangers could have hope of sign the "best player in the league"
For all the prior brilliance of Antman and Skov Olsen in Holland and Belgium, respectively, the rigours of the Premiership have simply proven too much, thus backing up Cavenagh's point regarding the need to laser in on homegrown or Premiership-ready signings.
One man who would certainly fit into the latter category is Motherwell's Elijah Just, the 26-year-old believed to be on Rangers' radar heading into the summer window.
There was a sense that he is Celtic-bound, amid Jens Berthel Askou's links to the Hoops, although with the Dane now set to join Toulouse instead, perhaps the door has opened again for the Gers to pounce.
Comfortable operating as a number ten or off the right flank, Just would be the perfect figure to offer an upgrade on both Antman and Skov Olsen, having enjoyed such a stellar first season in Scottish football.
Now heading to the World Cup with New Zealand, the fleet-footed Kiwi has been one of the most notable breakout stars of 2025/26, even hailed as the "best player in the league" by national team boss, Darren Bazeley.
"He actually looks like the best player in the league at the moment.
"It was actually another player in the league who told me that and I thought that was really, really great to hear."
The PFA Scotland Player of the Year gong may have gone to Claudio Braga, but Just was certainly in the conversation as a nominee, having sparkled under Askou's watch.
Indeed, his 35 Premiership appearances, 32 of which came from the start, yielded seven goals and seven assists, representing such a significant upgrade on both Antman and Skov Olsen.
His tally of 11 'big chances' created was the 11th best in the division, while he was ranked tenth for chances created in general, proving such a weapon in that right channel.
A goalscorer against Celtic at Parkhead earlier this year, Just has proven too that he can do it on the big occasion, a further tick against his name for those at Ibrox.
What also sets the 'Well man apart is his willingness to drive at defenders and take them on, as seen in his average of 1.3 successful dribbles per game, significantly bettering both Antman (0.8) and Skov Olsen (0.7) in that regard.
The Scandinavian duo simply haven't cut it this season, never truly up to the pace of the Premiership. Signing Just, therefore, could be the first step toward building a title-chasing side next season.
