Cam Whitmore has been waived-and-stretched by the Cleveland Cavaliers. Whitmore was acquired from the Washington Wizards as part of the Peyton Watson sign-and-trade and was not expected to remain on the Cavaliers.

The Cavaliers will save approximately $3.6 million this season and take cap hits of $1.8 million for the next three seasons.

Whitmore appeared in 21 games last season with the Wizards, averaging 9.2 points and 2.8 rebounds in 16.9 minutes.
