In case you missed it, Jenson USA has a great deal on a SRAM Eagle 90 mechanical drivetrain groupset that includes Maven Base brakes. Normally priced at $1,280, it’s down to $799 now, lower than the $896 sale price previously offered.

The groupset features SRAM’s top-end Eagle T-type mechanical derailleur and shifter and comes with 170mm cranks. It appears everything is included, from the bottom bracket to the cable bits and even a SRAM dropper post remote.

On the brake side, buyers get the Maven Base A1 brakes front and rear. Note, however, that rotors are not included.

At this price, we’re tempted to build up a project bike from scratch using one of the frames below, also on sale. Prefer Shimano over SRAM? Jenson USA has this 12-speed XT/SLX drivetrain on sale for $349 (brakes not included).
