Michael Venom Page

Michael Venom Page has been removed from the UFC rankings, as per an update from John Morgan.

Page (now 26-3) fought the final fight of his contract this past weekend at UFC Paris, where he defeated Nursulton Ruziboev by unanimous decision.

However, the bout was another uneventful affair, with the crowd at the Accor Arena heavily booing due to the lack of action. Over the entire 15 minutes, MVP spent much of the fight showboating and waiting for his opponent to land so he could counter. “Venom” landed just 12 significant strikes and 49 total strikes. Ruziboev, on the other hand, landed just 21 total strikes and only 8 significant ones.

After the bout, Page was denied an octagon interview. Backstage, he told the media that he aims to doctor his style and improve his output in future fights so that fans can be entertained. Michael Venom Page also wanted the UFC to offer him a new contract as he aims to fight for the belt someday.

However, the 39-year-old, who is riding a four-fight win streak and is 5-1 in the UFC, has been removed from the rankings just 2 days after UFC Paris.

Many in the MMA community want the UFC to give Michael Venom Page a second chance

After the UFC Paris win, Michael Venom Page thanked fans and also added that he’s looking forward to “bigger challenges.” “Venom” posted on Instagram:

Thank you, Paris, for having me. I’m grateful for the support you gave me. Stepping in the cage is a privilege I do not take for granted, and I look forward to bigger challenges.”

“5-1 in two divisions. Took away people’s 0s and faced the best. Gotta respect that. It’s not your fault people are scared of engaging when they’re losing the fight.”

“3 losses ever… mans ELITE. They’ll respect him when he’s gone. Blessings OG🙏🏽”

“No Matter What People Will Say I Appreciate Your UFC Run And It’s Really Unfortunate you didn’t get the UFC Run and Push You Deserved”
