Bike Friday’s new Pocket Rocket Further is a fresh take on their folding road bike, transformed from a tarmac specialist into a lightweight gravel machine. The Oregon-made Pocket Rocket Further can also be outfitted with matching front and rear racks for loaded touring.

Ritchey Alloy WCS and Classic Bigfoot Pedals

Building on the original reinforced nylon Comp Bigfoot pedal, Ritchey has expanded the lineup with two new alloy models: the WCS Bigfoot in a BB Black finish and the Classic Bigfoot in high-polish silver. Both share the same 6061 alloy body, CroMo axle, 10-pin platform, and are intended for singletrack, loaded bikepacking, and everyday riding.

Updated SCOTT Addict Gravel

SCOTT rebuilt its flagship gravel model around comfort and versatility, adding more tire clearance (up to 57mm), a noticeably smoother ride, refined geometry for confidence on rougher terrain, and clever integrated storage for repairs and essentials. The new Addict Gravel was announced yesterday, with prices ranging from $2,499 for a frameset up to $10,499 for a top-level build.

Stan’s Polar Drip Wax

Made in USA / $18 at Stans

Released earlier this week, Stan’s Polar Drip Wax is a high-performance, plant-based wax lube that bonds to metal at the molecular level. Unlike other wax treatments, Polar Drip Wax doesn’t require a crock pot, and it provides 200+ miles of low-friction mileage before another application is needed. It’s applied to a clean, new chain just like normal chain lube, but it requires two coats and must be left to cure for eight hours before riding.

PNW Silver Range

PNW just released a very limited run of silver components, which includes both their dropper lever and Loam dropper post in a lovely, bright silver finish. Quantities are limited, so move fast if you’re interested.

More Paul Brass Bits

Beyond their usual array of anodized colors, Paul Components also offers raw brass versions of some components. They are heavier and cost more, but it’s hard to argue with a bit of brass on a special build. Paul just expanded their brass options to include Bar End Plugs and Stem Topcaps, and they have already been offering them in Spring Adjusters and Baby Groovy Barrel Adjusters.

Fab’s Flat Fanny

Making their debut at this year’s MADE show, Ronnie Romance’s latest product is a wearable. Speaking to him at the show, he said it was basically a more capable and spacious jersey pocket that could be worn like a bag. Bikepacking the Pyramids

After needing to reroute around the Pyramids during his 2024 Oregon Timber Trail ride, Chris Wilson and his friend Paul have been plotting a return ever since. Paul schemed up a route that linked part of the Pyramids with some other big singletrack descents, and they recently took it on together.

LeBron James’ Custom 32″ Canyon Grizl CF

To mark Canyon’s partnership with one of global sport’s greatest icons, they were tasked with creating a one-off bike that’s a match for LeBron: a custom 32-inch Canyon Grizl CF. From Canyon: “Creating LeBron’s Grizl CF was not merely a case of taking our current frame design and making it bigger. 32” wheels called for a whole new approach with a custom geometry and bespoke carbon frame.”

Using a DJI Drone for Bikepacking Videos

Josh Reid has created quite the reputation for filming and documenting bikepacking races, balancing the demands of participating in events while also leaving enough time to chat with racers, record footage, and keep his gadgets charged. In a new video, he shares some details on the DJI drone he has been using and how he puts it to use in the field.

Smoke ‘n’ Fire 400

The Idaho Smoke ‘n’ Fire 400 is a 400-ish-mile self-supported mountain bike route traversing some of Idaho’s diverse geography on two-track, big gravel and dirt Forest Service roads, singletrack, and some paved roads. This year’s grand depart kicked off yesterday morning, with nearly 60 riders participating. Follow their progress live here.

Bohemian Border Bash

The Bohemian Border Bash is a fixed-route, 1,400-kilometer ultra-endurance on and off-road cycling competition that circumnavigates the ancient borders of Bohemia. There are over 50 riders participating in this year’s race, which starts tomorrow morning at 6 a.m. local time. Follow along live here.

The Big Beautiful Badger

The Big Beautiful Badger is a self-supported bikepacking challenge beginning in Coleman, Alberta, on September 5, 2026. There are two route options: the Baby Badger, a formidable 361-kilometer route with approximately 7,481 meters of climbing, or the Big Badger, a 637-kilometer backcountry beatdown with roughly 11,650 meters of ascent. Alps Divide Ultra

The Alps Divide ULTRA is a self-supported, single-stage, mixed-terrain bikepacking challenge from the Mediterranean Sea to Lake Geneva. Over 100 riders will be taking on the 1,000-kilometer route, tackling over 32,000 meters of elevation gain along the way. This year’s grand depart starts tomorrow morning, and you can follow along live here.
