UFC featherweight Jose Delgado issued his first remarks since falling to Jean Silva in the Noche UFC 4 main event.

UFC featherweight fan favorite Jean Silva handed Jose Delgado his first stoppage defeat in the Noche UFC main event last Saturday in Glendale.  In Round 3 of their headliner, Silva sunk in a rear-naked choke to put Delgado to sleep and earn another impressive win.

It was a disappointing showing for Delgado after he took the short-notice main event booking against Silva. Delgado filled in for the injured Yair Rodriguez for his first main event in the UFC.

Delgado helped build up the fight with Silva for weeks, promising to hand the dangerous featherweight a decisive loss in the Octagon. Despite suffering from the jaws of defeat at Noche UFC, Delgado is taking the lessons learned from the experience.

In a recent Instagram post, Delgado shared his first comments after Noche UFC.

“Well, s— so it goes. Dared to be great yesterday and came up short. But man, I loved every second of being on that stage with high-level opposition; that includes the heartbreaking pain of failure,” Delgado posted.

“Pure freedom. Insert something cliché about bouncing back here. Thank you to God for His guidance and my village for backing me. Also, thanks to everyone in that arena for making that walk what it was. Love y’all.”

Before losing to Silva, Delgado earned recent wins over Austin Bashi and Andre Fili. The Dana White’s Contender Series alum made his promotional debut in February 2025 following a knockout over Ernie Juarez on the show.

As for Silva, he’s back in the featherweight title mix following his performance at Noche UFC. He could potentially be booked for a No. 1 contender bout for his next Octagon appearance.
