UFC lightweight star Paddy Pimblett weighed in on his longtime enemy Ilia Topuria accusing Justin Gaethje of cheating.

Justin Gaethje pulled off one of the biggest upsets in UFC history earlier this year over Ilia Topuria at UFC Freedom 250. In their lightweight title unification bout, Gaethje defeated Topuria by TKO to win the undisputed belt and hand Topuria his first MMA loss.

After winning the UFC lightweight title, Gaethje seems on track for a showdown with top contender Arman Tsarukyan for his first title defense. A rematch with Topuria is also possible, especially after Topuria recently accused Gaethje of tampering with his gloves before their first fight.

Topuria’s longtime rival, Paddy Pimblett, is the latest to roast the former lightweight titleholder after his scathing claims.

In a recent video on his YouTube channel, Pimblett weighed in on his longtime rival’s allegations against Gaethje.

“With Arman, you could say that the title is next. But with all of the stuff coming out now with Ilia, it wouldn’t surprise me if [Topuria and Gaethje] end up fighting and having a rematch,” Pimblett said of Topuria’s allegations.

“Ilia is trying to say that Justin had stuff in his gloves, which he definitely didn’t. The commission was watching, and I think Ilia is just being a sore loser, a little b—- about it.”

As of this writing, Topuria hasn’t responded to Pimblett’s comments.

Pimblett returned to the win column by defeating Benoit Saint-Denis at UFC 329 earlier this year. He bounced back following an interim title loss to Gaethje at UFC 324.

A grudge match between Topuria and Pimblett is possible for both lightweights as Tsarukyan prepares for a likely title shot. In the meantime, tensions continue to escalate between the longtime rivals.
