Kurtis Campbell’s UFC debut might not have gone as planned, but earlier tonight at UFC Paris, the Brit put on a dominant performance and secured a third-round submission win over Trevor Peek.

Campbell scored 13 takedowns along the way to earn his first UFC victory.

After the opening bell, both fighters landed nonstop leg kicks and body shots. Meanwhile, Kurtis Campbell landed a clean right hook and a head kick that cut Trevor Peek.

For the rest of the round, Campbell ragdolled Peek and hunted for a submission. Although he could not secure one, “The Pink Panther” punished the 31-year-old American fighter with vicious knees, and once the Brit got full mount, he unleashed brutal elbows and ground-and-pound, and bloodied Peek until the end of the round.

Round 2 was another grappling-heavy round for Campbell. He continued to dominate the fight on the ground. Campbell took Peek’s back numerous times but failed to sink in a rear-naked choke.

While the 31-year-old did find several clever reversals to escape, Campbell repeatedly regained control and kept him pinned to the mat till the end of the round.

After dominating Peek for 10 mins and completely overwhelming him on the mat, Campbell finally secured the finish by taking Peek’s back once more, locking in a body triangle, and sinking in a rear-naked choke to force the tap and become the first man ever to finish Trevor Peek.

Official decison: Kurtis Campbell defeated Trevor Peek via submission in Round 3 (rear-naked choke, 3:07) at UFC Paris.
