Manchester United have submitted an offer for Real Madrid's Eduardo Camavinga and now have the chance to land a deal at a cut price.
Their interest arrives as they attempt to land their third midfielder of the summer. The Red Devils have already welcomed Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans for less than £100m combined. In today's market, that is nothing short of excellent work from all involved.
The spending is not stopping there, though. INEOS are still after another reinforcement in the middle of the park and signing Camavinga would be the ultimate statement.

Fresh from Chelsea, Santos has the chance to realise his potential at Old Trafford. He's likely to provide the legs alongside the technicians in the middle of the park, but that's not to say he doesn't have an eye for goal. He scored 12 goals for Strasbourg in 45 games. |

At £35m, Tielemans could go down as the bargain of the summer. The Belgian will keep things ticking over in midfield and provide the link between the backline and the likes of Benjamin Sesko and Bruno Fernandes. |

Fernandes should be the most delighted with United's business so far. His place in a deeper role has been long gone since Carrick's arrival and the Red Devils have doubled down on that with the arrival of other stars this summer. The captain now has the platform to do what he does best. |

It sums up the strength in depth that Man United will have in midfield that Kobbie Mainoo will be left fighting for his place. The Carrington graduate will be forced to find a whole new level and that's only good news for Carrick, who clearly believes in his potential. |

Adding Camavinga on top would be excellent work from INEOS. The versatile Real Madrid star would be arriving as United's Casemiro replacement and would provide that dressing room with a serial winner. |

One player who is unlikely to get a look in is Manuel Ugarte. The midfielder just suffered a long-term injury and is destined to depart when he is back to full fitness. |
There are several promising signs for Man United, who are now pushing to sign Camavinga.
Man Utd launch offer to sign Eduardo Camavinga
REUTERS/Vincent WestAccording to reports in Spain, as relayed by Sport Witness, Man United have now launched an offer to sign Camavinga from Real Madrid. The Spanish giants have set a new asking price worth just €50m (£43m), which is significantly lower than the €60m (£51m) price-tag they initially demanded.
That's not the only boost for Man United, either. Camavinga has already turned down the prospect of joining Chelsea before the Blues have even had the chance to make an offer.
That leaves just those at Old Trafford and rivals Manchester City in the race to sign the Frenchman, who could be heading for the exit door at the Bernabeu.
