Luis Hernandez, who earned a UFC contract earlier this month on DWCS, has now announced his arrival in the UFC light-heavyweight division with a bang.

Moments earlier at UFC Vegas 121, the law enforcement officer made an impressive two-day UFC debut by scoring a submission win in under a minute.

As the bout began, Luis Hernandez landed a left hook and quickly locked up a guillotine choke while scoring a takedown. Although Sedriques Dumas managed to get back to his feet, Hernandez maintained the submission and forced “The Reaper” to tap.

Official decison: Luis Hernandez defeated Sedriques Dumas in Round 1 (0:57) by submission (standing guillotine choke) at UFC Vegas 121.

With tonight’s win, the undefeated Hernandez improved his professional record to 9-0. After the fight, he also received a black belt from his coach and called for a bonus, saying he wanted to use the extra money to buy donuts for his co-workers. “The Stache” also added that he wants to compete at a lower weight class and is looking for a real quick turnaround.

Dumas, meanwhile, has now lost four of his last five fights and drops to 10-6 professionally.
