The TUF 34 strawweight finale between Melissa Amaya and Tina Black kicked off the main card of UFC Vegas 121 earlier tonight at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Both fighters used the opening minutes to find their range and distance and take ample time to settle. However, Tina Black soon proved difficult for Melissa Amaya to track. Every time Amaya closed the distance looking for openings, Black found a way to hurt her.

Late in the round, Black dropped Amaya with a heavy right hook and followed up with nonstop right hands. Amaya somehow managed to survive and escape, after which she briefly stunned and dropped the Brazilian fighter.

In Round 2, Black continued to walk her opponent down. The 30-year-old had speed and power on her side, and midway through the round, she caught Amaya with back-to-back right hooks to drop “Mamba.” Black followed up with another combination, but the referee had seen enough and stepped in to stop the fight and save Amaya from further punishment.

Official result: Tina Black defeated Melissa Amaya in Round 2 (3:19) by TKO at UFC Vegas 121 to become The Ultimate Fighter Season 34 Strawweight Winner.
