Michael Page has found his next combat sports destination after parting ways with the UFC, but his latest career move has not exactly left everyone impressed.
The 39-year-old Londoner announced his signing with Misfits Boxing on Saturday during the promotion’s event headlined by Joey Essex and Dapper Laughs in London.
Although Page sounded eager to begin a new chapter, questions remain about whether he will compete in boxing, MMA, or both under his new deal.
“I feel free. That’s all I can say, I feel free,” Page said after the announcement.
“Venom” also promised to take on any challenge that comes his way, declaring that he wants “all the smoke” as he looks to create new moments with the Misfits team.
MMA Community Shares Blunt Reactions To Michael Page’s Misfits Boxing Signing
Michael Page’s decision to sign with Misfits Boxing sparked a wave of reactions across the combat sports community, with some fans wishing “Venom” well as he embarks on his next chapter.
However, the overall response on social media was far from enthusiastic, as many fans appeared largely underwhelmed by the veteran striker’s post-UFC career move.
Misfits has like 2 events a year bruh
Michael Venom Pages career IS OVER
He belongs in side show fights….Misfits is the perfect name.
— Ellix Virgo 🇺🇸 (@Ellix_Virgo) October 10, 2026💩 Misfits views will plummet if they don’t introduce real boxing quality and nobody cares about misfits pro either
— PLEASE IGNORE (@PLEASEIGNORENOW) October 10, 2026that was horrible… Lol. Yall need help with Hype and Promo
— ChuckLee (@LakersToxico) October 10, 2026Misfits just ruined one of the most exciting signings in combat sports with that long, arduous, bizarre AWFUL promo. MMA's hottest free agent Michael 'Venom' Page has signed with MF Sport, which is awesome news. These in-ring spots have got to stop.
— Donagh Corby (@DonaghCorby_) October 10, 2026Good place for him, misfits is cringe and so is MVP
— Walter Stavert (@WStavert) October 10, 2026Didn’t get a single reaction LMFAOOOO
— CokeHead (@CWilliamsMuse7) October 10, 2026Page’s move comes after the UFC opted not to renew his contract following his September appearance against Nursulton Ruziboev at UFC Paris. Despite finishing his UFC run with four consecutive unanimous decision victories, the promotion chose not to bring him back.
MVP’s final stretch included wins over Shara Magomedov, Jared Cannonier, Sam Patterson, and Ruziboev. Page finished his UFC tenure with a 5-1 promotional record, although the nature of his performances and his departure generated debate about how his time with the organization should be viewed.
The former Bellator standout holds a 26-3 professional MMA record and built his reputation around his flashy striking and unorthodox style. Michael Page had expressed interest in continuing with the UFC but later said he felt disrespected by the way his stint ended.
