This weekend, Moses Itauma headlines on pay-per-view as he collides with Filip Hrgovic in a battle for the vacant IBF heavyweight world title. Just three days out from fight night, the undercard has seen a last-minute change of opponent.

Itauma has topped the bill in his last two outings – and that run can be expected to continue for some time if he is successful in defeating Hrgovic, becoming boxing’s second-youngest heavyweight ruler of all time and emerging as British boxing’s newest superstar.

Supporting that heavyweight duo on the main card is a British & Commonwealth welterweight title clash between Constantin Ursu and Ben Vaughan, a world-level lightweight showdown involving Sam Noakes and Denys Berinchyk, and, until today, a difficult cruiserweight test for Aloys Youmbi Jr against a former world title challenger in Cuba’s Mike Perez.

However, just days out from what is hoped to be the night of Itauma’s coronation, it has been revealed that Mike Perez has pulled out of his meeting with Aloys Junior. However, the latter will remain on the card and instead take on the 4-2-1 recorded Sherif Musah, as per EverythingBoxing.

Whilst Musah’s record will raise eyebrows upon first glance, the French-born, London-based cruiserweight will enter the bout off the back of a career-best knockout win over two-time English title challenger Nathan Quarless. 

The prelim bout has likely been switched from the main card, likely by a heavyweight scrap between undefeated duo Nelson Hysa and Thomas Narmo.
