Nobody has ever accused Paige Ivette Clymer of picking easy fights, and her ONE Championship debut is no exception.

Clymer steps onto the global stage against Helena Crevar in a 10-minute openweight submission grappling contest at The Inner Circle 22, streaming exclusively for The Inner Circle members from Bangkok’s historic Lumpinee Stadium on Friday, July 17. The event airs live in Asia primetime.

The 33-year-old has compiled a 118-7 record across every level of the women’s grappling circuit. A black belt under Keenan Cornelius at Legion American Jiu Jitsu, she recently won the 2026 ADCC West Coast Trials to punch her ticket to Bangkok.

Her opponent brings a different kind of resume. Crevar is the youngest podium finisher in ADCC history and already owns a highlight-reel submission of Teshya Noelani Alo at ONE Fight Night 39.

“I don’t turn down matches,” Clymer said. “I fight every single person. She’s a high-level female grappler. She’s been training since she was a little kid and has full support from her family, and that’s great.

“Now that she’s gaining more weight, she’s going to have to fight some bigger girls, and I’m excited for that too, because I feel like it’s kind of different. When you’re fighting smaller people, it’s a little bit easier to impose your will, especially if you’re a strong girl. But once you get to the bigger girls, it’s just different.

“From my water polo days, my whole body would be numb, and I’d have to keep swimming for the ball. We’ll see. I’m really excited to compete against her. I’ve always wanted to. I think she’s a great grappler, but you never know. Styles make matchups. She’s a little bit slower, more methodical. I’m faster, and I push the pace.”

Paige Ivette Clymer chases a statement finish

Paige Ivette Clymer arrives in Bangkok with an unusual athletic background for a grappler. She spent her formative years competing in water polo before Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu became her focus in 2016.

That combination of grappling technique and swimming-pool conditioning has shaped an aggressor who accelerates as opponents fade. Clymer has also returned from torn ACL and meniscus injuries to reach this moment fully healthy.

“The fight is going to end in a submission. I’m going to get the submission. I’m going to submit her,” Clymer said.
