Paulo Costa has announced that he’s signing with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Talent Agency. Costa is now the third UFC fighter to sign with Matchroom Talent Agency, alongside heavyweight titleholder Tom Aspinall and former UFC 170-pound title challenger Ian Machado Garry.
Costa revealed the news during a sit-down with Ariel Helwani. He said:
“Yes man, that was a great, great meeting with Eddie Hearn. He is a great guy. I’m so excited. I think we’re gonna do great things together. Great things… The contract is for him to be my manager and handle my sponsorships. I have too much respect for what he’s doing. He’s a great guy.”

Paulo Costa reveals UFC Frustrations
Paulo Costa wanted to save UFC 322. But the promotion now has other plans. The Brazilian moved up to 205 pounds earlier this year and stopped Azamat Murzakanov at UFC 327, announcing his arrival in the light heavyweight division with a bang.

(Photo by Ed Mulholland/Zuffa LLC)Costa wants to remain active and is game to fight “everywhere,” but allegedly, as per Costa, the promotion has not entertained any of his requests so far. He told Helwani:
“I’m sad because I think we could have given a much better fight card for the Salt Lake City fans. I don’t think the fans are happy. I’m not happy. I asked to fight in June, July, August. They told me to wait. I asked to fight in Salt Lake City. I asked to fight everywhere. For some reason, they still don’t want to put the interim light heavyweight belt on the line. I think this is a disaster. We’re not even sure Carlos Ulberg will be able to fight in 2027, maybe 2028, so they need to put the interim light heavyweight belt on the line.”
