ONE Championship
A 23-3 striking record now meets a 41-7 mark in a bantamweight kickboxing bout that carries real stakes for both men.
Yuki Yoza meets Nabil Anane in a bantamweight kickboxing bout at ONE SAMURAI 4, streaming live from Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan, on Saturday, October 17.
Yoza’s 4-1 promotional slate includes a signature win over ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion Superlek by unanimous decision. Moreover, he holds victories over Elbrus Osmanov and former ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Champion Petchtanong Petchfergus. His lone loss in ONE came in a five-round world title challenge against Jonathan Haggerty at ONE SAMURAI 1. The loss still sits as the only blemish on an otherwise pristine résumé inside the Circle.
Anane’s numbers tell an even busier story, an 8-3 promotional mark built across two disciplines. The 22-year-old once held the undisputed ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Championship before a five-round loss to Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon cost him the belt. The setback came after he had already avenged an early career loss to Superlek in Muay Thai and finished former interim titleholder Nico Carrillo via TKO.
Yuki Yoza’s record faces a numbers game against size
Yoza’s precision striking and calf-kick arsenal now meet a Nabil Anane record built on 13 stoppages and a considerable height advantage at 6-foot-4. Both men enter off recent setbacks. Moreover, Anane most recently dropped a split decision to Suakim Pongsuphan PK. Yoza came up short in his own bantamweight kickboxing world title bid.
A win for either man moves the needle significantly. Yoza’s number would put him back in title contention in a stacked bantamweight kickboxing division, while a win for Anane would end his current skid and reaffirm his case as one of the division’s most dangerous strikers heading into the year’s final stretch.
