Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors have agreed to a two-year, $116 million contract. The deal includes a player option for Curry ahead of the 2028-29 season.

Curry's deal will begin at $55.7 million for the 2027-28 season and is for approximately $20 million less than what he was eligible for as he could have signed for $136.7 million over two years. Curry is on a $62.6 million contract this season, which was a one-year extension signed in August 2024.

The Warriors could have significant cap space during the 2027 offseason.

Curry missed significant time last year due to knee pain and swelling, limiting him to 43 games, but he continues to be one of the NBA's most productive guards when on the floor.

The deal is similar to Kawhi Leonard's two-year, $115 million extension with the Toronto Raptors signed this month that covers the same two additional seasons.

The Warriors presented Curry with a number of different deal types ranging from max contracts to discounted salaries. Curry was also given the option of waiting into the season or even the 2027 offseason when their viable paths would become more clear.
