This week, OneUp Components in Squamish, British Columbia, rolled out a set of wheels aimed at riders looking for something dependable, straightforward, and wallet-friendly. Sold only in pairs for $599, the new trail-ready OneUp Components Aluminum Wheels feature a 29-inch front wheel and an optional 27.5- or 29-inch rear wheel. “Quality wheels at a fair price” is how OneUp sums them up.

The front wheel uses slightly less material and 28 spokes for additional compliance, while the rear wheels have thicker walls and 32 spokes to make them a little stouter. Both feature an asymmetrical design with 3mm offset spoke holes, a 30mm internal width, double-butted Sapim J-bend spokes, 6-bolt rotors, high-flow Fillmore Valves, 3M tubeless tape, and OneUp hubs with a 44T ratchet ring. They have Boost 110 front and 148 rear spacing. An XDr driver is included, and MS and HG drivers are available for purchase. The Taiwan-made, e-bike-approved wheels are ASTM 4 rated. Weights are 936 grams for the front and 1,010 and 1,063 grams for the 27.5″ and 29″ rear wheels, respectively.
