Former two-division KSW champion Roberto Soldic, who knocked out Dricus du Plessis earlier in their careers, signed with the UFC this week.

The UFC matchmakers continue to make high-profile additions to their promotional roster. Former Cage Warriors standouts Ian Machado Garry and Paddy Pimblett became household names after signing with the promotion several years ago.

As the UFC negotiates with Professional Fighters League lightweight champion Usman Nurmagomedov in free agency, the matchmakers have reportedly signed one of the other coveted free agents. Former KSW two-division champion Roberto Soldic, who knocked out former UFC middleweight champ Dricus du Plessis earlier in their careers, parted ways with ONE Championship last year.

As picked up by online sleuths, the UFC has seemingly added Soldic to its welterweight roster.

X user Pelunaton noticed that the UFC posted Soldic’s fighting profile on its official website, seemingly confirming Soldic’s signing. Despite fighting at multiple weight classes, Soldic was listed as a welterweight fighter.

Soldic’s last fight came against Saygid Guseyn Arslanaliev last year at ONE 171. He won by first-round knockout in Qatar to snap a two-fight winless streak.

As of this writing, Soldic’s promotional debut hasn’t been announced by the UFC. He could potentially return to the cage later this year.

After losing the KSW welterweight championship against Du Plessis at KSW 43, Soldic knocked out Du Plessis in their immediate rematch at KSW 45. He went on to defend the welterweight title against Krystian Kaszubowski and Patrik Kincl.

Soldic then debuted in ONE against Murad Ramazanov in December 2022, with the fight ending in a no contest due to an accidental knee to the groin. He went on to lose to Zebaztian Kadestam in May 2023 before the Arslanaliev knockout.
