Dan Hooker was not alone during his weight cut, with the voices of LECADE and Jelly Roll keeping him company.
The New Zealander is set to take on newcomer Salahdine Parnasse in the main event of UFC Paris 2026, which is set to take place at the Accor Arena.

Weight cuts remain one of the most brutal parts of a fighter’s job, and Hooker got through it by singing along to several well-known songs – the first being LECADE’s Sober Me Up, the next, Nate Smith’s Whiskey On You. Hooker finally tagged Jelly Roll for ‘getting him over the line.’

Dan Hooker’s Opponent Salahdine Parnasse is unbeaten in his last five fights
Salahdine Parnasse hasn’t lost a fight in almost three years, with his last defeat coming way back in December 2023, against Adrian Bartosinski at KSW 89.
Since then, the 28-year-old has defended and unified the KSW Lightweight Championship, then defended it three more times. In April 2026, Parnasse vacated the title and fought at MVP MMA: Rousey vs. Carano, where he earned a first-round TKO win, taking his winning streak to five.

Despite being the underdog going into this fight, one cannot write off ‘The Hangman’ from pulling off an upset against the UFC debutant.
