Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayThe Golden State Warriors and guard Brandin Podziemski have agreed to a five-year, $110 million extension. The deal reportedly includes a mutual option on the fifth season and a trade kicker.
The Warriors drafted Podziemski with the 19th overall pick at the 2023 NBA Draft. The now 23-year-old guard has become an integral rotation player and is projected to be a full-time starter this season for Golden State.
Last season, Podziemski played in all 82 games, with 43 starts. The 6-foot-4 shooting guard averaged a career-high 13.8 points on 45/37/80 shooting splits. The Warriors value Podziemski's versatility, as he also averaged 5.1 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.1 steals per game.
Extending Podziemski now shouldn't cut too deeply into the Warriors projected cap space for the 2027 offseason. The fourth-year guard had a cap hold of just over $17 million. If this contract follows the standard structure, Podziemski's salary will start at roughly $18.9 million for the 2027-28 season.
