Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayThe visual identity of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games has been unveiled, marking another milestone on the journey towards the Games in Australia.
The new Olympic and Paralympic emblems celebrate the character, landscape and wildlife of Queensland, bringing together a series of distinctly Australian elements within their designs.
At the centre of the Paralympic emblem is the Sulphur-crested Cockatoo, while the Olympic version features the Pink Cockatoo. The designs also incorporate the outline of Queensland and the Paralympic and Olympic flames, while the arrangement of three and two feathers in the cockatoo’s crest provides a subtle reference to 2032.
The unveiling was itself a first for the Games, with six different pieces of the emblems revealed over several days before the complete designs were brought together.
International Paralympic Committee President Andrew Parsons welcomed the new identity and the detail incorporated throughout the design.
“What I really love about the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic emblems is that each time you look at them you notice something different, small details that carry special meaning.”
Parsons described the Paralympic emblem as joyful and said Brisbane 2032 has produced two distinctive identities that each tell their own story. He also highlighted the extensive consultation, research and testing behind their development.
For World ParaVolley and the global ParaVolley community, the unveiling provides another glimpse towards Brisbane 2032 as the Paralympic Movement begins to build its identity and momentum on the road to Australia.
