Orgo-Life the new way to the future

Dirk Nowitzki could become more involved with the Dallas Mavericks again after previously distancing himself from the organization.

The Mavericks legend revealed that he deliberately reduced his involvement with the franchise because he disagreed with some of the decisions being made within the organization.

“Everybody knows that I pulled back there for a while. There were some things done that I didn’t agree with, and I kind of just pulled back from the franchise,” he explained.

The situation has changed following Masai Ujiri’s arrival as Dallas’ new team president.

Nowitzki already has a relationship with Ujiri, and the two have started discussing the possibility of the Hall of Famer becoming involved with the Mavericks again.

“I know Masai for a long, long time. We’ve already had some discussions on what’s going to transpire in the future, and he obviously wants me to be a part of the Mavericks,” revealed 48-year-old Nowitzki.

Despite those conversations, Nowitzki made it clear that there are currently no immediate plans for him to take a formal position with the organization.

His work as an analyst and responsibilities with FIBA already require a significant amount of his time and travel.

“I think all these things are very early and very soon. Of course, I have my job as an analyst, and with FIBA I’m on the board, so I travel a ton, so there’s nothing really imminent here in the near future. But I’ll always be, as we know, a Maverick for life,” he added.
