Kiara Fontanesi claimed victory in the opening WMX race on Saturday afternoon at Foxhill. The six-time World Champion from Italy held off a hard-charging Courtney Duncan of New Zealand in the closing stages to secure the win.

Daniela Guillén finished third, ahead of reigning World Champion Lotte van Drunen in fourth, while Shana van der Vlist completed the top five.

Danee Gelissen crossed the line in 11th place, Amber Simons finished 14th, and Suzy Tausch came home in 28th. Belgium’s Amandine Verstappen took seventh place, while Maxime Breugelmans finished 26th.
