UFC legend Michael Bisping has praised Salahdine Parnasse following his thrilling debut at UFC Paris last weekend.

In the main event of UFC Paris, Salahdine Parnasse announced himself to the world stage in style. He dominated and finished Dan Hooker, a man who has been around in the promotion for a long time, knocking off some big names along the way.

Salahdine Parnasse was always seen as someone who could make a real impact if he was given the chance to thrive in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, and now it’s clear for all to see that he can go toe to toe with some elite lightweights.

After his performance, Michael Bisping had the following to say about Salahdine Parnasse and his potential.

“To take out Dan Hooker in the fashion that he did, to do it so quickly, to make it look easy – he just put the entire lightweight division on notice,” Bisping said on the UFC Fight Night 287 broadcast. “He’s right to call out Max Holloway and talk about the BMF and being the champion and all the rest of it, because that is what he is: He is championship material.

“The French know it. They have another potential champion on their hands. That’s crazy what he did to Dan Hooker. You know how tough Dan is. He’s been around forever. Yeah, he’s won some and lost some, but he’s never, never been beaten like that.”

Paul Felder also weighed in on the result.

“To go out there and just take care of business in that fashion, in that amount of time and be cool, calm and collected and not let to seem this moment bother him for a second – this guy is a real contender,” Felder said. “And a future absolute star in the UFC.”
