The Sacramento Kings have signed guard Tristen Newton to an Exhibit 10 contract. Newton will compete for a spot on the Kings roster. If unsuccessful, Newton is expected to join the Stockton Kings of the G League.

Newton spent most of last season with the Houston Rockets on a two-way contract. In 49 G League games between the Rio Grande Valley Vipers and the Iowa Wolves, the 6-foot-5 guard averaged 25.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 2.0 steals per game.
