Bryant Dunston is returning to Olympiacos Piraeus after 11 years away, with the defending EuroLeague champions announcing Monday that they have signed the veteran center for the 2026-27 season.

Dunston, 40, made his EuroLeague debut with Olympiacos during the 2013-14 season and spent two campaigns with the Greek club. He was named the EuroLeague Best Defender in both seasons before leaving for Anadolu Efes Istanbul in 2015.

The 2.03-meter center spent the next eight seasons with Efes, reaching three Final Fours and helping the Turkish club win back-to-back EuroLeague championships in 2021 and 2022. Dunston later played for Virtus Bologna, Zalgiris Kaunas and Olimpia Milan.

Last season with Milan, Dunston averaged 2.9 points, 2.3 rebounds and 0.5 assists in 11 EuroLeague games while playing 11.8 minutes per contest. He also helped Milan win the Italian championship, Italian Cup and Italian SuperCup, although injuries limited his availability, including a broken finger in March.

The upcoming campaign will be Dunston’s 14th in the EuroLeague. He will also continue climbing the competition’s all-time longevity lists. After becoming the seventh-oldest player to appear in a EuroLeague game last season, his next appearance will move him into fifth place, with a chance to reach third by the end of the season.

Dunston remains one of the most accomplished defensive players in EuroLeague history. He enters the season second all-time in blocked shots with 376, while also ranking sixth in offensive rebounds (687), eighth in total rebounds (1,630), 11th in games played (381), 16th in PIR (4,031), 19th in steals (280) and 33rd in scoring (2,807).

His career also includes an All-EuroLeague Second Team selection in 2016-17 and national championships in Korea, Greece, Turkey, Lithuania and Italy. He has won national cups in Turkey, Lithuania and Italy, as well as the 2013 Intercontinental Cup with Olympiacos.

Dunston began his professional career in Korea with Mobis Phoebus before playing for Aris Thessaloniki, Hapoel Holon, Bnei Hasharon and Varese. His first Olympiacos stint produced averages of 8.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.2 blocks across his two EuroLeague seasons.

His return comes as Olympiacos reshapes its roster around Aleksandar Vezenkov and Nikola Milutinov. The club has also added Codi Miller-McIntyre, Jean Montero and Mbaye Ndiaye during the offseason.

Olympiacos opened the 2026-27 EuroLeague season with a 106-89 road victory over Baskonia and currently sits among the teams with a 1-0 record.
