Crvena Zvezda continued reshaping its roster for the 2026-27 season on Saturday by announcing the signing of former NBA first-round pick Patrick Baldwin Jr. The 23-year-old forward joins the Belgrade club after spending four seasons in the NBA with the Golden State Warriors, Washington Wizards, Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers and Sacramento Kings.

The Serbian club highlighted Baldwin’s combination of size and perimeter skill in its announcement, noting that the 213-centimeter forward can play multiple positions and fits the system of new head coach Ibon Navarro. Baldwin also won a gold medal with the United States at the FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup before beginning his professional career.

Selected 28th overall in the 2022 NBA Draft, Baldwin entered the league as one of the draft’s most intriguing shooting forwards. Across 102 NBA appearances, he averaged 3.7 points and 2.1 rebounds in 9.1 minutes per game while shooting 40.5% from the field and 37.6% from three-point range.

Baldwin opened his NBA career with the Warriors in 2022-23, appearing in 31 games and shooting 38.1% from beyond the arc. He spent the following season with Washington, where he played a career-high 38 games, including seven starts, while averaging 4.4 points and 3.2 rebounds in 13.0 minutes.

His 2024-25 campaign included stops with Washington and the Clippers before he split last season among the Clippers, 76ers and Kings. Baldwin appeared in nine NBA games during the 2025-26 season, averaging 3.7 points and 2.6 rebounds while making 42.9% of his three-point attempts. He finished the year in Sacramento, where he averaged 3.8 points and 3.5 rebounds across six appearances.

The move gives Crvena Zvezda another versatile frontcourt option during an active offseason. The club has already appointed Navarro as its new head coach while adding Chris Jones, David Kramer and Jonathan Motley. Baldwin arrives following the departures of Codi Miller-McIntyre, Isaiah Canaan, Donatas Motiejunas, Jasiel Rivero, Uros Plavsic and former head coach Sasa Obradovic.

Crvena Zvezda finished the 2025-26 EuroLeague regular season with a 21-17 record, good for 10th place and a play-in berth.
