Phillip Wheeler, a 6-foot-8 forward who signed a 10-day with the Sixers in March, has agreed to a full Exhibit 10 agreement with the Orlando Magic to compete for a two-way roster spot, according to his agent Jerry Dianis.
— Jake Fischer (@JakeLFischer) September 5, 2025Wheeler made his NBA debut with the Sixers on March 26 against the Washington Wizards, posting four points and four rebounds in limited minutes. He appeared in five total games for Philadelphia, averaging 1.6 points and 1.6 rebounds in 8.9 minutes per contest.
In the G League, Wheeler showcased more consistent production. Splitting time between Maine and Texas during the 2024-25 season, he averaged 15.3 points and 5.6 rebounds across 25 games, shooting 49.2 percent from the field and 36.7 percent from three.
The 6-foot-8 forward also had an impressive summer with the Indiana Pacers during the 2025 NBA Summer League.
Wheeler’s path to the NBA has included stints overseas and in Latin America. He began his professional career in Puerto Rico with Atleticos de San German, later moving to Argentina with Gimnasia y Esgrima before returning to the BSN. He was also selected to the Puerto Rican league’s All-Star Game in June 2025.
The Exhibit 10 deal with Orlando gives Wheeler an opportunity to compete for one of the Magic’s two-way contracts. If he does not secure a spot, the contract allows him to earn a bonus should he join the franchise’s G League affiliate.
