Rogue Panda just added a smaller version of the original Bamboo Shoots inner bar ends that are 25mm shorter than the version we tested. Learn all about the new Bamboo Shoots Short King version here…

Released last spring, the Rogue Panda Bamboo Shoots are inner bar ends with a unique adjustable sweep, a hinged clamp, and a standard diameter that fits any standard grip or bar tape. The adjustable sweep lets the bar ends adjust to a more natural hand position depending on the handlebar shape; I found the original version long enough to offer a few unique hand positions on long rides.

The folks at Rogue Panda realized many people hold the Bamboo Shoots with the edge of their palm down at the base, so they added a shorter version for those who don’t need the extra length. Moving forward, the original version is called the Long Boy, at 4.5 inches (11.4 centimeters) long, and the new Short King version is 1 inch (25mm) shorter.

Aside from being shorter, everything else remains the same. The Short King Bamboo Shoots are available with or without ESI silicone grips, a sweep adjustment from 8 degrees to 37 degrees, and a swing clamp that mounts to 22.2mm bars. They are CNC-machined from 6061 aluminum just down the road from Rogue Panda’s workshop in Flagstaff, Arizona, which you can learn more about in our shop visit from earlier this year.

The Short King Bamboo Shoots are $10 less than the Long Boys at $170 USD/pair and are available now from RoguePanda.com.
